Price Hikes For Petrol and Cigarettes

Labels:

With the adjustment to our Goods and Services Tax, the first price hike I can think of is petrol. There's no way the drivers/riders can escape from that increase. The discount from the petrol giants are cap. All my hair are either turning white or are dropping off from the higher living cost in Singapore.

To add salt to the wound, cigarettes are getting expensive as well. A pack of 20 sticks cost $11 plus. With the smoking ban in public places. It sure make sense to stop puffing altogether. You are just burning your money away and times are getting harder right now.

$2 can only get you a burger from McDonald's nowadays. Hard to find a bowl of noodles which cost $2 in a hawker center.

Hey they don't have the 1.35 cheeseburgers anymore ? I ate it so often during my secondary school days...ha. That said, we have 100 yen burgers in the McDonald's here in Japan, which is about 1.30 singapore dollars, very cheap by Tokyo standards considering a can of coke costs 2 dollars.

Bro, you been in Japan for too long. Cheese Burgers cost $2 nowadays. Mcchicken also cost $2 now.

Life is hard in SG. Going to be like Japan soon. Softdrinks are selling at $1.50 in certain petrol station.

We are fighting for the first place in the highest living standard in the cities. SG made it to the top 20 after the GST increase.

Well...prices are always going to go up. I just read an economics book which said that slowly rising prices are good for the economy...go figure :)
