Chinese New Year Again

2 weeks more to Chinese New Year again. Time flies. Time to clean up my room and throw away those junk that's been lying on the floor. Time to sweep, wipe and polish the tiles in the toilet. Mum will start her nagging 2 weeks before Chinese New Year. How the relative are coming for family visits and how messy my room is.

ARGH!! Sometimes I do hate Chinese New Year. Have to clean up my room and make it presentable to the visitors. They are not going to come into my room anyway. It's out of bounds.

Not to mention that I would be working on Chinese New Year. Luckily it's morning shift. Not a great deal actually. Still have enough time to rush home and collect ang bao from those that are still around. As usual, the common question will be coming out, "When is you turn to give ang bao?" "When are you getting married?" "Dating anyone at the moment?"

Oh well, I don't see myself getting married in the next 2 years at least. There's still so many things I want to do. Places to explore and not to mention my degree to get. At this moment, collect ang bao is the most important thing. Just wonder how much I will collect from this Chinese New Year.

Prision Break

Labels:

Besides the PlayStation Portable, I was also into the drama serial, Prison Break. There's quite an interestin plot to it.

Taken from it's fan site,

Synopsis

MICHAEL SCOFIELD (Wentworth Miller) is a desperate man in a desperate situation. His brother, LINCOLN BURROWS (Dominic Purcell), is on death row and scheduled to die in a few months for an assassination Michael is convinced Lincoln did not commit. With no other options and time winding down, Michael held up a bank to get himself incarcerated alongside his brother in Fox River State Penitentiary. Once he's inside, Michael - a structural engineer with the blueprints for the prison - begins to execute an elaborate plan to break out Lincoln and prove him innocent of this sensational murder.

With the help of his cellmate, SUCRE (Amaury Nolasco), Michael begins to align himself with a disparate group of prisoners, including former mob boss JOHN ABRUZZI (Peter Stormare) and CHARLES WESTMORELAND (Muse Watson), a man some believe to be the infamous skyjacker D.B. Cooper. On the outside Michael has only one ally, his defense attorney and longtime friend, VERONICA DONOVAN (Robin Tunney) - who also happens to be Lincoln's former girlfriend. Meanwhile, Lincoln's 15-year-old son, LJ (Marshall Allman), is now adrift without his uncle Michael's positive influence in his life.

Rounding out the cast are DR. SARA TANCREDI (Sarah Wayne Callies), whom Michael ends up visiting in the prison infirmary more than he should; senior correctional officer BELLICK (Wade Williams), who is determined to keep a close eye on his new prisoner, and the powerful WARDEN POPE (Stacy Keach), who forges a close, almost father-son relationship with the new convict.

PRISON BREAK combines the hope of "The Shawshank Redemption," the camaraderie of "The Longest Yard" and the tense procedure and spectacle of "The Great Escape." This intriguing new series will reveal additional pieces of the puzzle each week as Michael carries out his daring plan to mastermind the ultimate prison break - and solve the far-reaching national-scale conspiracy that landed his brother there in the first place.

PRISON BREAK is an Adelstein-Parouse Production in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The series is created, written and executive-produced by Paul Scheuring. Brett Ratner ("X-3," "Rush Hour," "Red Dragon") directed the pilot and serves as executive producer. Marty Adelstein, Dawn Parouse and Matt Olmstead also serve as executive producers and Michael Watkins is co-executive producer.

MIA

I was missing in action for the past weeks. Not because I was busy with work but rather was kept busy with the new toy I got. Remember my post on my dilemma? I had finally decided to get both toys instead of chosing between them. Don't you hate it when you couldn't chose.

After many sleepless nights, going through the forums and reviews, another new toy added to my collection of gadgets. The Playstation Portable. It's sort of the first hand held game that I had bought since childhood. Was kind of excited as well. Had been going through the catlogue of games after games. Trying out the ones which seems interesting enough to play. Not to mention going to friends house to raid their games. It's kind of exciting. I quit gaming a long time ago only to pick it up again. Hope I would not be addicted to it. There's more important things for me to do and my new year resolution to complete.

Fucked Up Weather

It's bright and sunny in the morning. I was thinking,"Great! I can finally ride to work today after days of taking the slow and expensive public transport for the last few days."

That was a mistake! From the time I started my engine and rode out from the car park, dark clouds began appearing. Since it's just a 15 mins ride, what harm could it be? Another wrong move. Passing by tampines it started to be a small shower. The closer I got to Changi Airport, the heavier the rain. Along airport road, it's like I'm having a shower with my clothes on. I'm so piss off by this.

Hope the shift would be over fast. Couldn't wait to get home.

It totally spoiled my mood today. I'm drench from head to toe and worst my shift was just starting.

To Buy or Not To Buy

I'm sure most of us face this dilemma before. You want something very much and have been researching on it for quite sometime but you are half hearted. Do you really need the item so much?

I'm always in that kind of dilemma. First it was the ipod, then the mobile phone and right now, Sony PlayStaton Portable. ARGH! Hate to be in this kind of dilemma. Why can't I not worry about money and just get the stuff I want?

3 things are going to happen in the next 6 months. First I'm going to get a new mobile phone with the $200 Starhub Voucher. Next is to go on a holiday to some where also with Jetstar Voucher. The biggest and most important one of all is to kick start a degree. I'm getting half hearted with that as well. Can't find a degree I have interest in and something which can fit into my schedule.

Any advice?

Striking 4D

I've finally strike 4D after so many years of "investment" it's just the consolation prize. Nothing to shout about though.

It sure makes your day much more brighter after knowing that. Now comes the best part. Because I have brought system ibet $1 big, my prize money is just merely $3. Better than nothing.

Here's the new release from ipod. I'm surprised that ipod would actually come out with a phone and take a shot at the mobile phone market. Wonder if it's going to function well as a phone.

There's no launch date for SG market yet. Most likely it's coming next year. Let's just wait for it and see if there's any review for the phone.

NKF Hearing

The much awaited NKF hearing is here. After a year long of waiting and gathering of evidence by the NEW NKF, Durai finally admits liability to all the claims.

He betray the trust of the donars, his patient, his staff just for his personal gain. I have nothing much worst in my dictionary to describe this kind of person. His retribution will come one day. Maybe it's already time for him to pay back.

My friend must be so disappointed now. We were still arguing about him a year back. Maybe that's his way of getting himself into the history of NKF. As a traitor who has betray his fellowmen and his country.

Headache

My laptop is still not working at it's best. There is a particular software which I still can't install. Not sure what is wrong with it. The keyboard is seems to be faulty as well. After prolong typing, it will just skip to another sentence.

I do not know what is wrong with it. Have the laptop for coming to a year. Problems are starting to surface. Is it a sign that it's time to get a new laptop?

$200 Voucher!!

Starhub finally recognise me as it's long time customer and send me a $200 voucher to get a new mobile phone!

There's so many choices out there to pick. Can't make up my mind at the moment. I'm eyeing the Dopod 838pro and Dopod D810.

Dopod 838pro is so yesterday's news but I love the keyboard that comes with it. It just makes texting so much easier.

D810 is the latest out from Dopod. Almost the same as 838pro just that it's without the keyboard.

But there's a catch! I have to sign up a new mobile line in order to buy the phone. Crap! There's not free lunch in the world afterall! Now I'll just have to do some simple calculations and see which method can I use to get the phone cheap.

New Year Resolutions

Here's my New Year Resolutions for this year 2007!

  • Get a Degree
  • Lose Weight
  • Balance Diet
  • Holidays

This 4 are enough to keep me busy for this year. It's going to be a uphill task for 2007. Need to cough out money for the degree and still have extra for holidays. Wonder how am I going to do that?
