New Bikes for The Traffic Police?

Labels:

Think that it's safe to go beyond the speed limit while on the expressway? Think you can spot the white petrol bike of the traffic police? Think again.

These pictures were send via email by a friend. I personally haven't seen this new bikes for the traffic police on the roads yet. The new bikes comes in nice a shiny black colour but without the traffic police crest. The only way to identify it is by the licence plate on it.

I wonder how true is this. Maybe someone can email the traffic police department and confirm the new leak. It's better to think twice before speeding now. Traffic Police are getting harder to spot nowadays. Besides their new Subaru WRX and unmarked vehicles, drivers now have to worry about this black phantom on the road.

Ladies Night - but only if you're under 36

Labels:

Once again St James Powerhouse Station is in the news for all the wrong reasons. First, clubbers complain that the re-entry ques for clubbers are slower, compared to the ques for those who are entering for the first time and now this. Both news rock the local clubbing scene.

It's suppose to be ladies night. So shouldn't the ladies, regardless of their age, race and nationality are entitled to the free drinks? The ladies are dressed all out to party. So what if they are above 36? My guess is that the bouncers would be closing one eye if you are not local.

I'm surprise that there are such unspoken rules which exist in the clubs here. I know some clubs turn away customers if they are not properly dressed or underage. But denied the free drinks vouchers because the lady is above 36. It's some kind new and ridiculous.

Seems like only St James Powerhouse Station have this unspoken rule. A check with clubs like Zouk let the ladies enter without questions asked. Being hip and famous might have blinded the management. So far quite a number of clubbers are not going back after reading the report. (I know I won't be.)

It's been a long time since I last went clubbing. Who knows? I just might be deny entry for being bald and having a beer belly? As for now, Ladies Night not only discriminate ladies above the age of 36 but also Man. But that applies to St James Powerhouse Station only.

Watching Joost!

I'm watching Joost and enjoying every minute of it. Thanks for the invitation to whoever that is!

I'm going to spend more time watching Joost and since Starhub is going to raise the subscription price for Cable TV, maybe it's high time for me to just cancel it. Why should I pay more when I can get it for free?

Seems like the price of everything is going to be increased ever since the government increasing the GST. An additional 2%. A ripple effect maybe.

I'll worry about that another day. Time to pack my stuff and report for work. Another long night ahead.

Joost - New Way of Watching TV

Anyone out there can spare me an invite to Joost?

I'm searching high and low for it. Haven't quite found anyone with spare invites.

If you have one PLEASE give it to me!

Thanks man!

Yahoo to shut down Yahoo Photos service, push Flickr

Thanks bizzi for pointing this report to me in response to my previous post titled Yahoo Photos shut down Multiply to the rescue.

It's the truth that Yahoo Photos to be shut down. Yahoo have not send me an email about it. Maybe it's taking sometime for the tech guys to sort out the technology part of the sudden surge of users.

Anyway, time to start moving all my photos to Flickr or some other sites like Photobucket. Which one is a better choice?

Yahoo Photos shuts down, Multiply to the rescue!

Labels:

Got this from Multiply in my inbox. I'm not really sure if it's the truth. Doesn't seems to see any updates from the giant Yahoo itself or am I missing something in here.

It would be nice for Yahoo to let the users know if they are really shutting down Yahoo Photo. At least I can try to save my precious photos somewhere before it's totally gone.

I tried logging into Yahoo Photo. It's still working and my precious photos are still there. Wonder is there any truth in this rumor or it's just another gimmick to get users to upload their photos to Multiply?

MediaCorp Radio fined $15,000 for raunchy content

By Lee Sze Yong, MEDIA REPORTER

THE Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) has fined MediaCorp
Radio $15,000 for raunchy segments on radio station 98.7FM's morning show.

In three five-minute segments aired over three days in March, 10 women
taking part in men's magazine FHM's Girl Next Door competition were asked to
whip off their bras in the shortest time, without exposing themselves.

The segments, called No Bra Days With The Muttons, were part of the
station's morning show, hosted by DJs Justin Ang, 25, and Vernon Keith
Anthonisz, or Vernon A, 34, for the past two years.

Video clips of the women removing their bras were posted on MediaCorp
Radio's podcast website, and subsequently made their way onto video-sharing
website YouTube.
At least one member of the public complained to the MDA.
After investigations, it found the radio station in breach of the Radio
Programme Code.

The code states that 'broadcasters must exercise sensitivity and avoid
humour which offends against good taste and decency'.

A MediaCorp Radio spokesman said yesterday: 'We accept MDA's decision and
recognise that the segments could be seen as being controversial. We sincerely
apologise to those offended by the segment.'

She added that the DJs have been asked to be more mindful in the future. No
other action will be taken against them.

This is not the first time the code has been flouted.

In 2004, the same radio station, then known as Perfect 10, was fined
$30,000 for carrying sexually suggestive segments on its morning show, Morning
Madness.

The co-host, then part-time DJ Sheikh Haikel, was dismissed, while partner
Daniel Ong was suspended from on-air duties for a week.

In 2003, UnionWorks was fined $15,000 for featuring explicit sex
discussions over the air on WKRZ 91.3FM's morning show. The DJ, Pete Leung, was
sacked subsequently.

Here's the video that I've found from Youtube.
